Manage Radio Licenses

During the process of FLASHcode Feature Set upgrading radios, this Manage Radio License features allows you to view statuses of Radio Feature Set Licenses. WFPrior.png Radio Licenses must be "Registered" to radio(s) (see Register Radio Licenses) in order to appear in this window. See also "Restore".

Restore: When a radio's "Status" is "Registered" (see "Status" below) it must be restored in order to implement the FLASHcode upgrade process.

  • Right-click on the radio in order to access the "Restore" selection.

  • Once the Restore has been run, the Radio License Status will be "Ready for Activation".

This window is accessed from the Radio Management Client, Actions Button, and then from the Actions Menu select "Manage" è "Licenses" è"Manage Radio Licenses".

Available Radios can be filtered by Group (See Grouping Radios).

Radio data can sorted by any column by clicking on the column header.

DEFINITIONS:

Serial Number

Allows you to view-only the Serial Number of the radio for all licensed features. Serial Numbers are read from codeplugs.

Radio Alias

Allows you to view-only the radio-user recognizable name of the radio for all licensed features.  This field is only modifiable from the Radio Management Radio View.

Model Number

Allows you to view-only the Model Number of the radio for all licensed features. Model Numbers are read from codeplugs.

FLASHcode

Allows you to view-only the FLASHcode of the current licensed feature. In this case the FLASHcode is read from the actual license.

Feature Name

Allows you to view-only the Feature's name. In this case the Feature Name is read from the actual license.

 

Status

Allows you to view-only the current status of all radio licenses. The following statuses are supplied by the RM Server.

  • Registered: The new FLASHcode has been registered to the radio: see Register Radio Licenses, and then the template changes have been discarded prior to these FLASHcode changes being written to the radio (see Right-Click Menu's è "Discard Changes"). "Restore" must then be run, see the "Important Note" above.

  • Ready for Activation: The new FLASHcode has been registered to the radio: see Register Radio Licenses and see Right-Click Menu's è "Upgrade" è "FLASHport Upgrade".

  • Scheduled for Activation: The radio has been scheduled for the new FLASHcode programming: see Schedule a Job.

  • Activated: The new FLASHcode has been programmed to the radio: see Device Programmer.
